Ariane Racicot is a Montreal-based jazz pianist and composer who blends elements of classical, Latin as well as metal music to form a unique style.
In 2013 Ariane’s Youtube performance of Bohemian Rhapsody went viral earning her an online following as well as 18 million views to date. Currently, Ariane has more than 22,000 subscribers on her Youtube channel and a growing presence on Tik Tok and Instagram.
She first began her training in classical piano at the age of six, until she decided to branch out into jazz while in her teenage years.
In 2019, she founded her own trio with Antoine Rochefort on electric bass and Guillaume Picard on drums, which led to the release in May 2022 of her first album, Envolée, on the Multiple Chord Music label. Awarded the title of Révélation Jazz Radio Canada 2022-2023, Ariane was invited to open for Wynton Marsalis’ Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra at the Montreal International Jazz Festival the following month.
Since then, Ariane has performed in festivals, cultural centers and jazz clubs in Quebec and Ontario, increasingly sold out. She did the opening act for John Scofield at the Quebec Jazz Festival in June 2023, and was also offered carte blanche at Domaine Forget, where she took the opportunity to invite Christine Jensen and Paul Brochu (Uzeb) to play her music.
Ariane is now coming with a brand new album called "Danser avec le feu", which will be available on all platforms on February 21, 2025.
