Ancestral

Ancestral are a lot darker than other German inspired power metal bands, arguably more nuanced and varied, more unpredictable and therefore much deadlier and versatile. They play everything at such an accelerated rate that it’s hard to keep up, and even when you think you know what’s going on you really don’t. These guys will run laps around you and you’ll never even notice. The band started in January 1999 in Castelvetrano-Selinunte (Sicily), a small Town situated in the extreme south of Italy, making a splash right away with demo, "Travaler in a Forgotten time" in 2000, "Breed of Chosens" in 2001 and tours. The band eventually brought their technical wizrdry to Underground Symphony who signed them and released their full-lenght debut, "The Ancient Curse", in 2007. On their second album, "Master of Fate", was released in 2017 on Iron Shield Records, the twin brothers Massimiliano and Domiziano Mendolia ( drums and bass ) are accompanied by guitar tandem Alessandro Olivo and Carmelo Scozzari, and new singer Jo Lombardo. www.ancestral.it
