Amis du Teche: Translation, 'Friends of the Teche' consisting of Adeline Miller on fiddle and vocals, Amelia Powell on and guitar and vocals, Robert Miller on bass, and Laykin Usie on drums. Amis du Teche is steeped in the Louisiana Cajun music culture. By sharing their rich heritage on their international tour in Canada, Amis du Teche was selected as a member of Louisiana Tourism’s Music Ambassador Program. Their rich connection with their hometown of Breaux Bridge and growing up along the banks of Bayou Teche have brought each member together. The bayou is where they met, jammed, performed, and now recorded. With a very rich repertoire reaching deep into the archives of Cajun music classics and drawing from the best compositions of their contemporary peers, the talent, cultural influences, cajun french language knowledge, and musical curiosity of Amis du Teche should peak the best of music lovers' and aficionados' curiosity as we watch this young vibrant band emerge!
