Agustin Genoud

Agustin Genoud works as a performer, musician and scholar in the fields of contemporary voice, post-humanism & new media. He builds algorithms and systems that expand and transform the vocal sound production and create expanded voice techniques that disrupts and interfere the humanly assigned sounds to the vocal tract trying to expand those capacities through machinic and animalistic behaviour. In the past decade he has been very active in Latin American and Argentinian scene. Being part of several ensembles, groups and solo projects like singing a cappella in the frentic free-jazz-noise quartet Calato, playing improvised drum machines in the electronic trio la_muerte, developing his latin-american-folk-digital-grindcore post human band LOS ODIOS, doing voice and live electronics in his duo with Astrosuka "columnas de humo" and singing in the contemporary opera "1968" at the Colón Opera Theater. In 2019 he was touring through Europe with TRRUENO label. He has being heard at Sonandes Sound Art International Biennal / MusicMakers Hack Lab - CTM Festival / Teren Field for performative art Festival / Arena Club / Razzmattazz / The Wrong International Biennal / Tsonami Sound Art Festival / Festival Internacional de Música Experimental / Metabody Symposium / New Materialisms Symposium / Colón Theatre Experimental Centre, among many other places. As a scholar and lecturer his work deals around post-humanism, new materialisms, expanded voice performances & biopolitics.
